The Messier the Better

Chicken, mashed potatoes, and avacado
Mmmmmm....mmmmmm...good!

Emma does a better job eating if she can feed herself---even if it is MUCH messier, takes MUCH longer and much of it ends up on her body and the floor :)

11 Months Old...The Countdown to 1 Begins!!!

So...the countdown begins until we celebrate 365 days of Emma. She has brought soooooo much joy to our lives...we cannot imagine what our lives would be like without her. She has just blossomed over the last couple of weeks. She is playing peek-a-boo by pulling the blanket over her face and then back down. Em is walking EVERY WHERE!!! She walks circles around the island and does figure 8s in the rooms with double entries. It is a lot of fun to watch. Trav and I both sit and watch her and agree that she is getting cuter each and every day. That being said...Em is also showing some stubborn streaks. She threw herself on the ground yesterday and started to cry when I took something away from her. She has also been arching her back and going limp when something is not going her way...I have just been laying her back on the ground, trying to figure out what is happening. It is almost comical right now---although I do not dare laugh--but I know that it will be sooner than later when I have to figure out what to do when she does these things in a public place. But for now, I will look at her with adoring eyes and smile as she tests my patience and her limits.

Last weekend, we went to the Austin Children's Museum to celebrate Mia's 4th birthday. Mia LOVED introducing Emma to her friends and Emma LOVED exploring the exhibits at the museum. She also really enjoyed people watching and engaging with all the kiddos there.
We all had a wonderful time! It is hard to believe that Mia is 4 years old!!!

This is one of the only pictures I got of Mia. It is not the best picture commemorating her 4th bday :(
Showing off her musical skills.
The tongue comes out when she is concentrating...just like her mom :)
Notice, the tongue is out again. She is trying to impress Lela...it does not take much to make my mother proud of Em.
Delivery!
Exploring
Em really enjoyed watching the fish in the aquarium.
Follow the leader.

Walk this way...

Emma's first lesson in sharing.
