The Proposal

I was filiming Emma being silly and caught a PRECIOUS moment on video. She was putting on my shoes, which (I am guessing) made her into a princess. She walked up to Travis and asked him...after a stuttering start...to marry her. After the hugs and kisses, Emma picks up Trav's hand and says, "Marry Me!" It was a pretty sweet moment. You have to listen carefully because the camera was to her back and she has a tiny, sweet voice.

Be Mine, Valentine!

Emma was really excited about "ValenTIME's" day this year! She picked out the presents for her friends in January and talked about giving them their "Valentime's" until February 14th. On the 13th, Emma made her cards to go with the cute stuffed monkeys she picked out. I cut the hearts---obviously---but, Emma spent a lot of time and effort coloring each indivual card. After she was done, she asked me to put sparkles on the cards. We attached them to the monkeys and put "I love HANGIN' out with you, Valentine!" Emma signed each card with her scribbled line. It was a lot of fun.

The morning of Valentine's Day, I gave Emma a card that her GiGi and GiPa (great grandma and grandpa) had sent her. She looked at it and exclaimed, "For me?!?!?! Thank you!" Then she opened it up and told me to read it. Thanks for thinking of Emma on Valentine's Day, GiGi and GiPa!!! She loved getting mail!

Snow Day

Travis got the text early this morning that we were having a snow day today. We will be making up for it on May 31st, but for now we will enjoy!

Even Bodhi joined us for some snowy fun!

Our sad attempt at making a snowman. We are going to blame it on the powdery snow :)

January Happenings

We have been busy...SOOOOO busy that I have failed to blog for an entire month. I thought I would do a quick recap to get caught up. Emma went to the dentist for the first time. She was definitely unsure of the situation...especially of the stuffed frog with huge chompers :) She would only get on the chair if she was in my lap and she did not let Dr. Tillar do anything but brush her teeth. We will try again in 6 months.
Emma had to bundle up for some cold weather. Gigi made this cute coat and hat for Christmas. It is ADORABLE on Emma!!!
We also took advantage of the spring like weather and had an ice cream picnic at the park. Sooooo much fun. I cannot wait until we can make this a regular occurance. Maybe not ice cream everyday, but the park.

Emma also found time to dress up like a beautiful princess!
We squeezed in a few baths :)

We also celebrated Daddy's birthday on January 18th. I made a cookie cake. Emma and Travis enjoyed eating it.

More eating...Emma and I had a mommy/daughter date at Mighty Fine.
Baking with mommy. She is such a great little helper!!!

January FLEW by...I hope to do a bettter job blogging in February!
